New Delhi – Nissan has officially lifted the curtains on its sixth-generation Micra, making a bold debut in the electric vehicle (EV) market. The all-new Nissan Micra EV brings together futuristic design, impressive performance, and long-range capability—setting a new benchmark in the compact electric hatchback segment. The Micra EV will go on sale across Europe later this year and is expected to become a game-changer in India’s affordable EV landscape soon after.

- The 40kWh battery variant delivers up to 308 km of range (WLTP) and is powered by a 90kW motor (122 hp) with 225 Nm torque.
- The premium 52kWh variant offers a class-leading range of 408 km (WLTP), driven by a 110kW motor (150 hp) and 245 Nm torque.
The larger 52kWh model supports 100kW DC fast charging, enabling 15% to 80% charging in just 30 minutes—perfect for Indian users seeking quick top-ups. The 40kWh version supports 80kW DC fast charging. Both variants include a heat pump system and active battery cooling/heating, ensuring optimal performance in diverse climates.
Smart, Feature-Rich Interior
Inside, the Micra EV is designed with sophistication and practicality in mind. It features:
- Dual 10.1-inch displays – one for infotainment and the other for the digital driver console
- Wireless smartphone charging
- Electronic parking brake
- Three-spoke steering wheel
- 48-colour ambient lighting
- Mount Fuji-inspired central storage area
Additionally, the Micra EV supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, allowing users to charge external devices such as laptops or even run home appliances during power cuts—a standout feature for Indian households.

Built on the AmpR Small platform (CMF-BEV)—shared with the Renault 5 E-Tech—the Micra EV will be manufactured at Renault’s ElectriCity facility in northern France.
